Hi, I'm Marek

Why were there so many bad jobs, before I discovered photography is the fullfilment for me? I guess everyone would have done things differently looking at their past. Good reminder for future. I want to get better at what I do, travel more, make more people happy, learn something new every day. That’s the plan. Where do I feel most secure? It’s behind the lens…

It’s been 14 years since I bought the first camera for a trip to Morroco. By now I'd call those photos and many that followed “Kitsch”, but I enjoyed it and had enough fun, there were many hills to climb just to take a photo up there. I used to teach skiing in Austrian mountains just to drain my account for travels across Europe and South America later. The camera being only my companion back then.

Let’s have the cliché we are all waiting for… I love my job.
There we go.

Lost memory cards, broken hearts, here I'm at the age of 32 ready to make things with a sense of maturity. I'm humble. Shy. I appreciate that my hobby transformed into work that I love to do. Not everyone is that lucky. I'm well aware I will have to get better at what I do, learn from the experienced and more talented ones.

I love

Riding downhill fast, whether it’s on a bike or skis. Always with music in my ears. If you listen to a few songs from my playlist, you can’t really think I'm a normal human being, but trust me, the german rap and mexican folk music is there to keep at least a memory of languages I'm slowly losing ability to speak.

I love memories. Let’s be honest, the brain puts the bad memories to sleep after some time and we enjoy remembering better the good experiences from our past. When I have some free time during winter, I like to search through old hard-drives to remember how beautifully naive I used to be.

I love listening to old wise people.

I would collect pretty much everything from 80’s.

I love movies, somehow the ones with sad or bitter-sweet endings left a bigger trace in my heart.
